I’m going to ask YOU to take action at the end of this blog….
Let’s talk about deciding what to do or, sometimes just as important, what not to do to re-exert control of your life. Today I ask you...what are the patterns or habits that take you closer to...or farther from living your Best Life?
The things that stop us from taking action are all too familiar: fear, perfectionism, over-thinking, procrastination. So, how can you reframe those situations to take control? Simply put—by taking action. Taking action is empowering.
Even the smallest actions—taken consistently—dissolve fear, quiet the over-thinking and, conversely, build momentum, motivation, courage and confidence.
This concept was well-put by Dale Carnegie: “Inaction breeds doubt and fear. Action breeds confidence and courage. If you want to conquer fear, do not sit home and think about it. Go out and get busy.”
Your life essentially is the sum of your habits. So, make a habit of taking action. What can you do right now to take even the smallest action towards manifesting your best life? Whether you decide you want to eat healthier, begin an exercise routine, start a new business, learn a new language—the most crucial part of the process is taking the first action. I promise your mindset will shift toward the positive when you set your alarm and head to the gym for that first workout in a while. It will make it easier to set the alarm again and show up the next day. In reality, you are showing up for yourself. Stop fighting yourself and start fighting for yourself. The best way to have the life you want is to take action today.
