Positivity How To Remain Positive In The Face Of Challenges

In today’s blog post, I filmed from Paris on a dark, rainy, cold day...not exactly optimal conditions to showcase one of the world’s most beautiful cities. And then I realized it would be a good metaphor for living your Best Life. I thought of those times in my life when it seemed too dark or too cold to carry on. To live your best life, you’re going to have to learn to weather the rain, the cold, the darkness. These moments in life we all experience offer an opportunity to be positive in the face of challenges.

Life can seem like a study in contrasts at times. Fantastic wins and crushing losses. And, the better we’re able to handle the highs, lows, twists, and turns to make our life a practice of gratitude-- we move towards our Best Life everyday. We’ve all talked often in the Best Life Map community about how positivity isn’t dependent upon our circumstances, it’s a choice we make each day. I’m sure you have stories of this from your own life.

The things you may be dealing with right now might seem as though they’re taking you away from living your Best Life.  My belief and thoughts on this are simple….if you’re going through a difficult time, remember it’s temporary and.....keep going! Though it may be hard to see when you’re in the midst of those times, I believe they can take you {albeit in a strange and sometimes circuitous way} towards living your Best Life.

When life doesn’t seem to be headed along the path we’d hoped is when we learn to appreciate the good moments. When we can learn to see the light within the darkness, the joy within the painful moments, the warmth within the coldness -- we get closer to living our Best Life.

Remember, the challenges you endure today become the strength you enjoy tomorrow.

Henry Ford sums this up well: “Life is a series of experiences. Each one of which makes us bigger, even though sometimes it is hard to realize this. For the world was built to develop character, and we must learn that the setbacks and grieves which we endure help us in our marching onward.”

I’d love for you to comment below and let me know a time in your life when it seemed it was too dark or too cold and how you endured with positivity. What did you learn from that experience?

Hey...it would have been nice to have these buttons connected to iTunes and Stitcher for you, but I'm sure you can appreciate there are just too many variables to consider for a template. So getting this linked up to your particular podcast service is a task that will be left up to you.
